As the school year comes to an end, there is still great news coming in from the basketball season. More accolades continue you to come in state organizations recognizing the Langham Creek Basketball Players.
Congratulations goes out to Fuzz Radjenovich, Danny Newsome, Quinn Taylor, and Ryan Patrick as they were recognized by Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Association on the Academic All-State Team. This has been a great year for accolades that were the result of a great season!
This year we had five players placed on Academic All-District Team: Fuzz Radjenovich, Danny Newsome, Quinn Taylor, Ryan Patrick, and James Taylor!
Two players selected and participated in Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game: Gil Carter and Quinn Taylor!
Two players placed on the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Association All-Region Team: Gil Carter and Danny Newsome!
Five Players were selected to All-District Teams: Danny Newsome-17-5A Defensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All-District- Quinn Taylor and Gil Carter, 2nd Team- Ej Johnson, Hon. Men.- Jerome Segura!
Three players will play collegiately Danny Newsome (Univ. of Texas), Quinn Taylor (Utah State Univ.), Gil Carter (Panola Junior College)!
The individual accolades are a result of a great season in which the Lobos secured a District Title for the first time since 1987-88 and set a school record for 27 wins on the season. This also was the 5th consecutive season that the post-season has been reached. Of those 5 seasons, 3 have resulted in wins in the playoffs. It truly has been a great season for Langham Creek Basketball!

Our Lady Lobos Girls Varsity Track Team competed in the Texas State Championship meet this weekend. The athletes had many great accomplishments throughout the day:
 
Skylar Ross Ransom placed 1st in the 100 meter hurdles winning the Texas State 5A Championship with a time of 13.74 seconds!!! (see videos below):
 
 
The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Sarah Shim, Skylar Ross Ransom, Tracy Baldwin, and Erin Derrow placed 4th setting another school record running a time of 46.94 seconds and they currently ranking 25th in the United States!!! (see video below):

We are urgently seeking Volunteers to help out Friday at Langham during the Football and Baseball Games to work concessions, to help out as needed with the BBQ Fundraiser for Coach Pruitt being held during both games and to help sell lobo gear out of the new Lobo Gear Sales Center (a big red rolling cart filled with “lobo” gear ready to view & sell items from!)

 Lots of fun and excitement being held this Friday night!!  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider coming out and volunteering for as long as you can – while you also enjoy some of these exciting sporting events!!!  
  
For the Football Concessions - to volunteer between 4:30 and 7:30 - please email Tracey Ross at trossski@hotmail.com  right away!!  and let her know your name, contact info. and what time you can work.  We can do shifts from 4:30 (set-up) to 6:00 and 6:00 to 7:30.
 
For the Baseball Concessions -  to volunteer between 5:30 and 9:30 please email Bronze Ellison at coachelli@gmail.com  – see attached baseball concessions/bbq fundraiser schedule for shifts for Friday night (and for Saturday game, if necessary).
