NEEDING CONCESSIONS VOLUNTEERS DURING VARSITY WOMEN’S SOCCER GAMES!!!

We are needing Volunteers to fill some time slots for the outdoor concessions during the Varsity Women’s Soccer Games!!! We are seeking parents from the JV women’s soccer team or any other sport to help us out, so that the Varsity parents can watch their kids play!! Dates needed are:

  • February 3, 10, 17 & 21 (all games at 7pm, except for Feb. 17th at 5pm)
  • March 2, 6 & 27 (all games at 7pm)
Note: volunteers just need to be there 10 minutes before game time.

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM DEFEATS CY-SPRINGS 40 TO 16!!!!

The varsity girls’ basketball team played tough defense Friday night against Cy-Springs. The Lobos won 40 to 16. Caylinne Martin led the team in deflections with 6, she added 7 blocks, 15 rebounds, and 5 points. Rebekah Douglas led the team in steals with 6, while Mercedes Busby was right behind her with 5. Marissa Watts led the team in scoring with 13 points, and Corinne Martin followed second with 7. This win keeps the playoff hopes alive for the Lobos. They have a tough week ahead with Cy-Lakes away on Tuesday, and Cy-Woods at home on Friday. Friday night is also our Teacher Appreciation game night. Come out and show your support for your Lobos! Good luck this week ladies.

MENS SOCCER UPDATE:

Greetings Lobo Soccer Supporters!

Our Junior Varsity finished the weekend as Runners-up in the 2012 CFISD Junior Varsity Invitational, their 3rd consecutive appearance in the finals of the event and their 6th in the tournaments 10 year History! The Junior Varsity finishes the weekend with a record of 2-0-2 with 1 Shootout loss and pushed their overall season record to 4-0-2 on the season. Results for the weekend saw the Junior Varsity record a 2-0 result over Galena Park, a 2-2 draw with Cy-Springs, a 1-0 result over Memorial and a 2-2 draw against Cinco Ranch.

Our Varsity returned to Brenham for the Select Cup and finished with positive results in all matches on the weekend. The side opened with a 2-0 result over Donna HS (#9 Region IV) on Thursday evening in their opening match. Friday saw the Lobos dispatch of Justin Northwest 3-0 and then followed it up with a 2-0 result over Arlington Bowie (#10 Region 2) allowing the Lobos to tally 28 of 30 potential points in pool play Continue reading →

LANGHAM’S LOBO MASCOT AT THE ROCKETS GAME!!!

Guess who was seen at the Rockets game this past Tuesday night proudly representing Langham Creek High School? It was our own Josh Attra strutting his stuff as Larry the Lobo during the Rockets halftime performance! Josh has been a tremendous mascot all year with his enthusiasm at Langham Creek events and Tuesday he was able to take it to a higher level. Thank you, Josh, for making Larry the Lobo head of the pack!

LOBO MENS SOCCER TEAMS DEFEAT COLLEGE PARK!!

Lobo Mens Soccer was in action Tuesday night at Woodforest Stadium against College Park and the Junior Varsity Lobos extended their early season record by defeating College Park 5-0! The Lobo Varsity followed it up with a 4-2 victory over the Crusaders continuing their strong start in 2012.

Both teams kickoff tournaments Thursday with the Junior Varsity looking to defend their back to back tournament titles in the CFISD Junior Varsity Invitational and the Varsity returns to Brenham to defend their 2011 5A title in the Select Cup!!

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL – CLEAN SWEEP AGAINST JERSEY VILLAGE LAST NIGHT!!!

The Girl’s Varsity Basketball team had a great win last night against Jersey Village! The Lobos came out strong, took the lead, and never looked back. They defeated the Falcons 48 to 37. Caylinne Martin made Lobo history last night, breaking the school record in rebounds!!! The record has been held since 1987 with 20 rebounds in a game. Caylinne shattered that record last night with 25 rebounds. She also posted a triple double with those rebounds adding 21 points and 10 blocks. Rebekah Douglas was second in scoring with 12 points. Great win ladies!! Come out and support the Lobos Friday night, as they face Cy-Springs at home at 7 pm.

The Girls Junior Varsity Basketball team played Jersey Village last night in what turned out to be a nail biter. After being ahead 7-2 in the first quarter, the girls played even with the Falcons, being tied at halftime, and after the third. During the fourth quarter the Lobos were able to knock down crucial free throws pulling them ahead by three, which was enough to win. Leading scorer was Adrianna Edwards with 10 points. Nicole Doolittle added 5 points and 12 rebounds. Way to go ladies.!!

The Girls Freshmen Basketball team played Jersey Village last night pulling out a great win! After being ahead at halftime 4 to 3, the girls made a run second half and pulled away from Village by playing very tenacious defense. They won the game 19 to 14. This was an all around great team effort and every girl contributed to this GREAT District Win!
