The Men’s Soccer Program is pleased to release our provisional 2011 Soccer Schedule! The schedule is one of the most competitive that we have seen at Langham Creek High School, and will feature our Varsity side in 3 top level tournaments and 2 non-district match-ups with perennial powers. Our JV will be participating in 2 tournaments as well as 4 non-district matches against top level competition.
The schedule represents a tremendous challenge, with a mix of a variety of competitive styles, that we feel will prepare our side for greatness in 2011!
Mark your calendars early, and we will see you all in the stands!

Greetings Lobo Soccer Supporters!
The post-season accolades continue to be favorable for the Lobos, as Junior Goalkeeper NICK BOARDLEY was named to the Houston Chronicle’s All Greater Houston First Team in Wednesdays edition of the Chronicle. With this selection, the Lobos have been recognized by the Chronicle with All-Greater Houston selections the past 4 seasons, dating back to 2007. Congrats to Nick on this accomplishment, and to all the Lobos who made this achievement and recognition possible!

Monday night, the Lady Lobo Soccer Banquet and Awards Ceremony was attended by 21 Varsity and Junior Varsity players and their families. It was a rousing success and good time. The evening started off with Coach Staggs congratulating and providing much deserved praise to the Junior Varsity team. These girls worked extremely hard all season.
Following Coach Staggs, Varsity Coach Abitua talked about the team as a whole and the seniors who will be leaving to pursue their lives beyond high school.
After recognizing the largest group in Langham Creek Lady Lobo history of All Team District Honors, Coach Abitua announced two team awards. Congratulations to Kelly Satterfield, who was awarded Ms. Lobo, for her continuous positive attitude and encouragement of other players. Kelly smiles ALL THE TIME! Good luck to you at Texas A&M next year, Kelly. WHOOP!
Congratulations also go out to Danielle Licarione, who was awarded team MVP. Danielle is a fantastic goalie who broke her own school record of most shut-outs in a single season! Danielle will be attending St. Edwards University in Austin playing soccer as a Hilltopper. Good luck you to, Dani! Your smile will be missed as well.

Congratulations to Langham Creek’s Diana Ramirez, a fantastic midfielder on the Lady Lobo Varsity soccer team as she signs a letter of intent TODAY (Wednesday) at 2:30 in room 1517 at LCHS to Huston-Tillotson University in Austin. This is a great accomplishment for Diana and the rest of the Lady Lobo soccer team is so very excited for her and proud of her. Diana was a great contributor to the winning season for the Lady Lobos this year and received recognition from the District by making the 2nd Team All District team. Way to go, Diana! The Lady Lobo Varsity Soccer team lost in the first round of the playoffs 2-0 to McNeil High School in Round Rock after a hard fought game, ending their 2010 season. It was a great season with many wonderful memories for the girls, parents, friends and fans. We will remember the updated locker room, the very cold season, the ‘Soccer Studs’ that cheered the girls on at the home games, the refs we had some loud communications with, the very cold and sometimes cold and wet games, the celebrations after the games that were won and the disappointments after the games that were lost, and the class the girls displayed no matter what the result…. It was a great year.
In recognition of some of the outstanding individual performances, the following district awards were presented, which marked the largest number of 1st team district team honors in Lady Lobo Varsity Soccer Team history. Congratulations to Coach Abitua, these girls who were honored, and the rest of the team for all of their accomplishments this soccer season. Great job!
1st Team All District:
- Alison Boone – Senior Midfielder
- Danielle Licarione – Senior Goalie
- Kelley Poblete – Senior Defender

2nd Team All District:
- Diana Ramirez – Senior Midfielder
- Tiffany Titone – Junior Defender
Honorable Mention:
- Lauren Henry – Senior Defender
- Kelly Satterfield – Senior Midfielder

Greetings Lobo Soccer Supporters,
Regardless of the outcome, the trip to Georgetown is certainly one that I hope all the boys will remember, and one that I feel will be influential as we move forward to 2011. In reflection, there are many things we did well, and clearly some breaks that did not go our way, but those things are unchangeable and we move on; it is what we do. I will say that Georgetown had one of the top 4 players I have seen in my 10 years coaching both HS and club, and clearly were one of the 3 most complete teams we have faced in my 8 years at Langham Creek. (The previous were Kingwood 2007 and Mayde Creek 2008)
I want to congratulate our seniors on Read the rest of this entry »
The Friday before Spring Break, the Lady Lobo Varsity soccer team had an opportunity to move to 3rd place in the district. A hard fought defensive game against Cy Woods ended in a 0-0 tie, however, keeping the Lobos in 4th place. So now the Ladies travel to Round Rock Tuesday to play McNeil High School (12-0-2) at 7:30 p.m. in the first round of the playoffs. The game will be very difficult, but Langham Creek Varsity Soccer girls have gotten better and better with each game they have played.
Cheer them on, show them your support, let them know how great they are!
