Congratulations to Shanay Colyar and Edwin Pineda who both placed 5th IN THE STATE this past weekend at the STATE tournament in Austin, Texas. This is the first time ever that two Lobos have earned ALL STATE honors in the same year!!!! They become only the 3rd and 4th Wrestlers in School History to achieve such an accomplishment!!!!

Congratulations also goes out to Jacob Ahquin, who despite suffering a knee injury the night before the Tournament, managed to gut out a TOP 8 performance in the 125 pound weight class. Jacob finishes his career as the only Lobo 2 time STATE Qualifier.

The Lobo Wrestling team would like to thank everyone for all of their support in this record breaking season, and would like to extend good luck to the basketball team as they push forward in their historic season as well. GO LOBOS!!!!

The Langham Creek wrestling team continued its record breaking season this past weekend! At the 65 team CFISD Tournament, the largest wrestling tournament in the country, the Lobo wrestlers showed up with heart, determination, and guts and took home the 3rd place trophy!!!

It was a total team effort by the LOBOS who had several place winners, highlighted by Tournament Champion Jacob Ahquin at 125lbs. Jacob finished his career as a 3 TIME CFISD TOURNAMENT CHAMPION!!!

Keeping pace with the boys, the girls ended up finishing 4th in the tournament, despite only having 6 girls in 10 weight classes! Shanay Colyar dominated the 110 pound weight class, pinning every girl she faced. Shanay was voted by the coaches as MOST OUTSTANDING WRESTLER of the tournament!

Congratulations Wrestlers, lets keep it rolling this Thursday night at Cy Springs!

2009 Woodshed Dual Challenge @ Brazoswood High School 12/12/09

The Langham Wrestling team made history this past weekend winning it’s first Team Tournament ever. The Lobos dominated from start to finish.

Langham started the day by destroying district rival Cy Ridge 59-21.

Conroe was next for the Lobos…they were obliterated 79-9. Cy Creek, who was picked by many to win the district, was the next victim. The Cougars were crushed 75-6, winning only 1 out of 15 matches.

Tournament host and favorite Brazoswood was next for the Lobos. In what was SUPPOSED to be the match of the day, Langham came out and sunk the Buccaneers 55-22.

Oak Ridge was the final victim for Langham, falling hard 57-26.

The Championship was a complete and total team effort, but standing out for the Lobos were tournament MVP Jacob Ahquin and Jose Gonzalez who both went 5-0 on the day.

Not to be outdone by the boys, both Shanay Colyar and Margaretta Addy brought home the gold winning individual Championships at their weight classes.
