Dear Lobo Football Players and Parents,
I hope this letter finds you having a healthy and enjoyable summer. The start of football is drawing near and we are very excited about the upcoming fall season. We have had a great turnout for our Summer Training Program and this is a reflection of the commitment, work ethic and the desire for excellence of our Lobo athletes. We have averaged about 250 athletes a day in attendance and I am certain that each day has been both challenging and beneficial for them. It has helped us not only improve our physical condition, but also to pull us closer together as a program.
Our goal in 7 on 7 was to improve our football team this fall and that was accomplished. To all the coaches and parents, who volunteered to help this summer, THANK YOU! Our coaches did an incredible job with the players and the help and support of our other parents is greatly appreciated.
We are going to cover many details about our program in the parent meeting on August 8th and I encourage you to try and attend. One issue that I would like to address is physicals and other paperwork that must be turned in before you can practice on August 9th. Hopefully, this has been taken care of, but if you have not turned in this information, it must be in our office on or before Friday, August 6. This paperwork may be turned in to the training room. Please try and not wait until the last minute to take care of this important responsibility. We will be holding physicals at Langham Creek on July 29 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Please attend this if necessary.
I am attaching an August schedule, which I hope you will look over and keep posted somewhere convenient. On the attached schedule, we have tried to think of everything, but sometimes things out of our control can make it necessary to make adjustments. Please understand that we could have some minor changes and will communicate this information as early as possible.
We would also like to encourage you to join our Athletic Booster Club and, if possible, volunteer some time to help out our Athletic Program. I would like for us to “set the tone” for the rest of the sports on campus. If we all work together, we can give our young people the best high school experience that we have to offer. Let’s make this happen!
MAX OUT ON POTENTIAL!
Sincerely,
Todd Thompson
