Langham Creek Baseball starts off the Play Off Season with 1-2 win over Nimitz in the first round of 5a baseball playoffs.  The Lobos advanced to the second round and play Katy Taylor this Friday.

Connor Macalla was almost all of the offense Thursday night for the Lobos as he hit a first inning home run, that sailed over the RF fence. After that the Nimitz pitcher held the Lobos very quiet on the night. Ben Taylor would add a hit in the first and would later
score on an Aaron Fletcher ground out to second. Aaron Fletcher, Taylor Hodges, and Ryan Rand each would add a hit on the night but could not produce anything else on the score board. The 2 runs would be enough as Hayden Jones would pitch a CG 1 Hitter, giving up 1 unearned run, and punching out 12 batters. The defense would have a few plays and make good on most.
Brandon Montalvo threw out one of the few runners Nimitz would get on base, for a big out mid way through the contest. Stolen bases by Ben Taylor and Taylor Hodges, each with one.

As they say it was not pretty, but a WIN is a WIN. And the good news for The Langham Creek Baseball Lobos is that we are 1 of 16 teams that will play in round 2 this week in Region 3 Bracket.
What a great turn out as the Lobo fans did “Black Out” the Nimitz baseball team!
WIN 300%
