LCABC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS – due by March 2nd!!

The Langham Creek Athletic Booster Club is proud once again to be able to honor some of our fine Lobo athletes with $1,000 college scholarships each to the college of their choice…. our way of recognizing some of our outstanding students at Langham Creek!!

NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOUR SENIOR ATHLETES TO COMPLETE THEIR LCABC SCHOLARSHIP

APPLICATIONS (final deadline is March 2, 2012).

Applications are available on the LCABC website and includes full details on eligibility and requirements.

We would like to clarify, in case some of you were not aware… in order to make the selection process fair and unbiased for all applicants, the scholarship winners are selected from a blind process. The persons on the final selection committee do not see the names of the applicants – each applicant is identified by a number.

• Applicant must be a Langham Creek Senior athlete, trainer, or manager of a UIL School Sanctioned Sport* 
• Family must be an active/participating member of the Langham Creek Booster Club.
• There are additional requirements in regards to your student’s GPA and SAT or ACT scores, please see application for specifics.
• Finally, any applicant receiving a “full” academic or athletic scholarship is not eligible.

Selection process is based on the following factors:

Athletic experience, applicant personal statement, academic achievements, extracurricular activities and community service.

Please note: the persons on the final selection committee do not see the actual names of the applicants - in order to help make the selection process unbiased and more fair for all.

A firm postmark deadline for the applications is set for March 02, 2012.

*UIL sports include football, baseball, soccer, tennis, cross country, track, golf, wrestling, swimming, diving, basketball, volleyball, softball and also including managers and trainers.
