Tennis

On Saturday April 28th, 66 players and their fans gathered at the Copperfield Racquet & Health Club for a great day of tennis. Doubles teams were placed in 6 different brackets. As teams came off the court, they were greeted by the Chick fil A cow, great food, and exuberant fans. Throughout the day, people bid on a great mix of Silent Auction items ranging from Texans helmets and tickets, basket of Middle Sister wine, fishing trips, and Vera Bradley gifts!
At the end of the day, all of the teams and their fans gathered for Langham Creek tennis awards and tournament trophies. Each bracket named a 1st place team. The LC tennis coaches gave out District Championship gifts to all players and announced the end of season awards. For Junior Varsity, Regan Stehle and John Ross Schulz received most improved. On the Varsity team, Steven McMullan and Kelsey Vincik received the MVP award. The Lobo Award went to seniors Phi Nguyen and Nicole Perry.
We would like to thank the following businesses for their support: Wilson Boat & RV, Xerox, Amegy Bank, Texas ER, Allstate Benefits, GE, Chase Bank, Dr. Gullick, and Chick Fil A. In combination with the business community, the LC tennis family donated generously to the tournament and the day’s activities. We were able to raise $8,100.00 for the LCABC and all of its athletic programs. Thank you to everyone that came out and supported our winning tennis program!!
